Q & A

Question & Answer

Q1. What is involved in a home inspection?
A1.  A home inspection is a non-invasive inspection of the property that includes the roof, exterior, structure, electrical, heating & air conditioning, insulation, plumbing, and interior of the house.

Q2.  Why have a home inspection?
A2.  In most cases people have a home inspection because it is mandatory for the sale of the house.  A home inspector will point out repairs needed on a house that the buyer may not see.  Buying a house is a big investment and you do not want to have problems from the start.  It is also good to have inspections done on your home periodically, in order to keep the house in good condition for you and your family.

Q3.  How long does an inspection usually take?
A3. It depends on the size of the house, but usually anywhere between two and four hours.

Q4.  Can a home owner or buyer have just certain parts of the house inspected?
A4.  Yes,  the cost varies with what the home owner or buyer wants inspected.  If it is on a house that a person is buying, then the buyer may sign off on parts they do not want inspected.

Q5.  Why have a microwave leak test?
A5.  The same radiation put out by a microwave is the number one cause of breast cancer in women.
